DevLog Introduction

So uh, welcome to Mana's new long-term project, Mana's Magical Minigame Mashup Machines. The idea is that this will be a game pack of four or five small games, trying to go for an arcade style with each game. Think high scores, simple gameplay of a couple minutes, and the such. I don't really know what the other games in the pack are going to be (though I'm thinking maybe a boat racing game?), but the first one is Ride of the Time Bed 2. More on that later. 

Ideally, this will all be presented in a virtual arcade, where you can walk to different arcade machines and play the games on them. Ideally ideally, you receive tickets based on your performance in the games, which you can use to unlock features and little tidbits in the Arcade. Something I definitely want to add is an Attract Mode for each game and hopefully also for the Arcade itself, where the games advertise themselves when not being played, just like in a real arcade. If I find the time and energy, I might even write old-school manuals for each game, which I think would be real fun.

It might be a little pretty ambitious for the time I'm planning to take for this (8-10ish weeks, while also working a part-time job), and it might go unfinished, unpolished, and probably significantly shrink in scope, but the idea is cool in my head, and so far we're on track! Plan is to keep a devlog going for this at least until version 1.0. We'll see how that goes.

Oh, and if you're wondering, the name of the game pack is abbreviated to MMMMM, but it's pronounced as one word, like you just ate something tasty :)
